MDE Engine
A Node-based mechanics calculation engine whose product requirements, modular architecture, explicit failures and executable evidence gates were designed before AI-assisted implementation began.
How the Node-based MDE Engine was specified, architected and implemented through an evidence-controlled AI-assisted engineering process.

What the natural-language composer supports today
Every stage is named, including the absent ones
One engine. Seven accountable layers.
Nothing happens off the record.
Nothing is overwritten
Auditing is a walk, not a memory test

Application and chatbot layer
Interprets a request and presents the result.
Validates the declared model, performs the calculations and returns evidence-bearing results or explicit failures.
The approved natural-language composer currently supports free particle, one-dimensional undamped harmonic oscillator and simple pendulum profiles. Saved-run analysis resolves requested quantities through declared comparable metrics and machine-readable claim limits.
- Decide what may enter
- The engine first checks that the model says what it needs to say. Missing state, inconsistent domains and unsupported requests stop here.
- Typed inputs, validation rules, state-space requirements and explicit failure outcomes form the boundary of every calculation.
- Build the mathematical structure
- Declared expressions are transformed into the mechanics quantities the model supports, without inventing missing information.
- The symbolic layer covers parsing, differentiation and supported Lagrangian, Hamiltonian and Hamilton–Jacobi derivations.
- Respect what motion is allowed
- Supported holonomic, velocity-affine and non-holonomic cases are separated, reduced or routed according to their available evidence.
- Calculate the shape beneath the motion
- When a model contains geometric structure, the engine derives the supported quantities and records the assumptions behind them.
